Today we find out more about 81-year-old Christine Savil from Dorset, who joined our personal alarm service during the summer. Christine has plenty of hobbies and used to be quite active before she began suffering with certain health issues.
Christine explained: "My interests are music, reading and playing board and card games. I used to love long walks by the sea, swimming and going to concerts when I was able.
" Now I have a pacemaker and have diabetes, ulcers on my legs, stomach problems, cataracts and a damaged left ankle which means I am very unsteady on my feet. I also have osteoarthritis of my spine, wrists, fingers and toes."
As with many of our customers Christine currently lives alone, which was becoming a concern for her friends and family. It is quite common for family members to refer their loved ones to LifeConnect24, or even purchase an alarm for them.
Chistine added: "I am now living on my own and I need to be independent. My daughter insisted I have a personal alarm, especially as I have fallen recently and have had a severe viral infection."
Christine's daughter, Virginia, ordered a personal for her mother through our website in order to gain some peace of mind regarding her mother's welfare. Christine is now one of many customers who are on our annual alarm plan.
